Abstract

This paper aims to contribute to the analysis of the impact of demand management in recent years in emerging markets. Manufacturing companies play a vital role in the emerging market (EM) economy. So, it is important to implement and systematize processes such as demand management, to optimize resources, improve customer service, coordination with suppliers and in general in the supply chain management, and thus contribute to companies remaining in the market and being increasingly competitive, reducing uncertainty, increasing their income, and adapting to favorable conditions with the environment. In recent years, demand management has been recognized as the first link in the supply chain of production companies, however, it can vary between developed countries vs. emerging countries. This makes us think that there are implicit processes or mechanisms that have not been considered predominant or that are not necessarily homogeneous between blocks of countries. It is indisputably necessary to master past and present scientific knowledge on the subject, to contribute new knowledge and an original contribution.
