The financial management of the wine companies of Valle de Guadalupe: Tourism in the current era

Small and medium-sized wine companies play an important role in the socioeconomic development of Baja California (México), but due to some problems such as inadequate use of financing, excessive financial burden and lack of managerial skills of entrepreneurs, some are faced with a scenario of uncertainty. For this reason, this research is carried out that presents a diagnosis on the application of financial management in the wine tourism companies of the Valle de Guadalupe Wine Route. To do this, a structured questionnaire was applied to 45 tourism companies dedicated to the production and marketing of wine, resulting in a very low level of management and financial planning in this type of organization. At the end, the main conclusions and recommendations for the financial management of these companies are presented.
